Mountain Bike Orienteering is for anyone who loves being outdoors, likes a challenge & is keen to discover new trails. You can take part if you have an off-road bike & a reasonable understanding of how to read an OS Map. You can even take the kids with you as a Generation Team. This Event will count as the first event in the 2020 Long Score Series and be followed by a hot chilli lunch and the 2019 Award Ceremony The event HQ is based at Gwent Outdoor Centre in the village of Gilwern, just off the main A465 between Abergaveny and Brynmawr. The event will take in hills on both sides of the Usk. CPs will be marked on A3 1:25,000 maps and we can provide a less challenging route for novices, families and those not wishing to venture too far away from the event HQ. Toilets are available at the HQ and post-event hot refreshments will be on offer. Also donations for our chosen charity will be gratefully received on the day. Graduated Entry Fee, earlier you enter the lower rate: Over 14 Days, Member £12, Non-Member - £13, U18 £6 13 - 7 Days, Member £14, Non-Member - £15, U18 £8 Under 6 Days, Member £19, Non-Member - £20, U18 £10 Entry on the Day is permitted at the - Under 6 Day rate, but please email us to reserve a paper map and SI Dibber.
