No Fuss have teamed up with Glencoe Mountain to launch a Scottish version of one of the worlds most famous events the Megavalanche.

How will it work?  Those of you who are fortunate enough to know Glencoe Mountain  Resort will understand when I say its going to be one hell of a decent.

The idea is that we will choose an appropriate weekend in spring (depending on snow and weather conditions) when there is an adequate amount of snow to facilitate a  track from the summit down the main basin , across the plateau  and finally descending via the weasel to the car park below.

Will it be a mass Start? Oh yes, in the first year we envisage having sixty or seventy participants.

The draw will take place on Sunday the 3rd of April. First seventy names will be emailed and invited to enter. The plan is for the race to take place on the 23rd or the 30th of April (as weather permits) Please note you will have 24hrs in which to accept invitation, otherwise we will start  on the reserve list  until we get our numbers.

What will happen on the day?  The idea is that bikes and kit will be transported to the top of the hill, as will the riders (hopefully by helicopter) from there the route will be marked, ready steady go and first across the line is the winner.

Registration will be at 1000. Riders will have to get bikes and equipment up the hill to designated spot for uplift. Riders will be allocated flight times and pick up spot to rendevouz with bikes ready for race start at 1500. Lower part of the course will be open for foot inspection only!

How much will it cost? This event is not about money, its about history and being in that club. Seriously it will be the costs incurred, being split between the participants, No Fuss nor Glencoe is doing this for gain.
