We wanted to try somewhere new that we'd never been to before, it's always a gamble turning up somewhere only to find it's not child-friendly at all, but with a bit of googling and watching some youtube videos we nailed it: Cwm Rhaeadr in the border between Mid Wales and South Wales.

A quiet car park off a remote road, there's nothing really there other than a few picnic benches. It's a short trail at around 6.7km, with the first 2.7km being a straight climb to the top, then the remaining being pretty much downhill.

Everything is rollable, and whilst pretty straight forward there are plenty of fast and flowing technical features including some rock gardens and berms. We towed Dylan all the way to the top along with his little sister in the Tout Terrain trailer, and descended together (trail is trailer friendly so long as you have something with a bit of suspension). We did two laps then headed off to the nearest pub for lunch.

We'll be coming back here again for sure.
