Summary:
REBUILT AT START OF 2012

Review:
Original set was completely flattened and new jumps built by some co. in Wales
There is now a roller/pump track line
A line of table tops
A line of semi cut out table tops
A line of doubles
A big set with a hip line too (last landing on the hip line is big enough to do some tricks)
Littering is still a problem, but regulars sporadicaly do a clear up of rubbish and dig to try keep the jumps nice

is it downhill....well not really but its a good place to practice a few drops etc...build some confidence and speed up before venturing further a field to try more challenging stuff.....there is a few other features ...such as a tasty road gap....and some large new doubles to hit...but if your going to pay a visit then bring your pedaling legs with you.... i learnt to ride here and its my closest track so im going to give it a biased 9/10...not as a dh venue....but as somewhere to learn your skills.

Summary:
well built but stretched out

Review:
The parts of this trail which have been built on, corners, north shore, rock jumps etc are very nicely built. However the runs feel like an obstacle, then a long section of flat and wide trail to the next obstacle. Its not steep enough either. The routes all cross over as well, so its kind of hard to find the best run down and also i imagine on a busy day it can be quite dangerous. As has already been said nothing on there is that hard, so why the extreme trail grade rating? Its a good effort, shame the natural terrain does nothing for it.

Summary:
a "fun" trail for the east mids

Review:
The north shore is pretty solid and flows well. The only downside is that you don't have to commit to any drops, they are all rollable, and quite small. For me, this detracts from the challenge of freeride. But its probably the best they could do within the FSC guidelines. You do get quite a lot of inexperienced leisure cyclists unknowingly going down the trails, as the trail isn't identified at intersections such as after the first drop, which is obviously a danger to us lot bombing it down. A good spot for the East Midlands though, and if you live round here its worth a visit.
