One of the best

Review:
Easier with uplifts even though it is very expensive. Not much of a variety for beginner riders. The lunch break is too long and limits riding too much. Otherwise it’s a brilliant park

Review:
I'm new to MTB, and was nervous on my first venture on my own, however this bike park made my first and continued visits welcome and enjoyable, they're all a good laugh....even when you fall off!
Facilities are good, and the uplift service is great, although I do recommend you climb the hill at least once, it'll normally take you 20 minutes.

Well worth a trip up there!

Review:
So Flyup 417 is a small bikepark in the respect that it only has 3 trails 1 blue 1 red and 1 black, but it does sport a x4 and dual slalom course, a pump track and indoor dirt jump track.

The uplift is brilliant and always running, the land rover picks you up by the car park, drops you off up top of the hill and is pretty much waiting for you by the time you reach the bottom of the trails, when it drops you off at the top you can cut into the blue track or push up to the top where the rest of the trails starts.

The blue is OK, it doesn't have much variety though and its out in the open, it would be better if it had some trees either side of the track, there are loads of small sweeping berms and 4 tabletops at the bottom of the run it really is quite a workout but after a few runs you would get bored especially if you more of an advanced rider.

The red is loads of fun but its quite a jump in skill level, its splits into 3 runs, the left 1 has more jumps, the middle is more technical with some bigger drops and rock gardens and the right side cuts into the black trail which i didn't do. I did the other 2 a few times and they were brilliant even through the thunderstorm we had, at the bottom of the trails they all join up and have some BIG doubles you can tackle or are roll-able.

The black i cant tell you about as i was on my hardtail and i haven't got the skills to do the jumps...YET!

The dirt jump track was great, we spent a good hour in there trying to nail the jumps and pump around the mini pump track in the middle without pedaling, it was loads of fun. The pump track fun too but were'nt half tiring, i would have stayed longer but it was closing so will have to hit it again when i return.

They have a little cafe at the bike park which serves one of the best burgers i have ever tasted and for a reasonable price too.

They also have the bike shop where they have a variety of bikes, clothing and parts for sale they also do a service which was extremely handy as i blew my tire out on one of the jumps (shame they dont sell new shins!)

i see a lot of negative comments but i really cant understand them unless your a skilled rider who can nail all the jumps and even then it can still be a great laugh.

all in all a great day out, the staff were all friendly and willing to help if needed and if you're lucky enough you'll meet the local celebrity Henry the owners 6 year old son who puts everyone i know to shame on a bike and he'll even give you a few pointers too.

I will definitely be going back!
