Description

Chicksands Bikepark includes a 4X track, Dual Slalom, Dirt jump, Downhill, Freeride and XC trails all in one handy location with car parking and Thai Takeaway on site!

The park is open everyday with riders able to ride from the time it gets light until it is too dark to ride, we don't operate strict opening times.

A day ticket must be bought on arrival at the park from a Course Manager who will issue you with one ticket to ride for that day only. Day tickets are now required to ride on weekdays as well as weekends and bank holidays and this includes riding in the Bike Park.

Day tickets can be purchased at a price of £5 per rider regardless of age.

Annual membership is available for...

Senior (16 years old or over) - £60
Junior (15 years old or under) - £40
Family (maximum 2 senior and 3 junior) - £120

The 4X track is of National Standard. It offers high speed doubles, tabletops, speed humps, big berms in the corners that you know you can trust in, a triple jump and a step up to step down towards the end. Perfect to battle down with your friends.

The Dual Slalom is the easiest track at the park. It's ideal for anyone from a novice wanting to improve their off road bike handling skills to an expert who just wants to tear down it as fast as they can.

There are a selection of Dirt Jumps in the bike park. There are 3 sets ranging from 2-3 foot high tabletopped jumps to a middle set of 3 doubles and then our super set ranges from 4 -6 foot high ramps with compressions almost as deep with gaps of 10-15 feet.

There are 2 downhill tracks at Chicksands offer highly technical challenges that should only be undertaken by riders who are capable of riding the obstacles on the course as they are intended to be ridden. There are few or no chicken runs on both the Bull and Snake Runs

Currently the two cross country routes that were available, are still rideable albeit a bit beaten up at the moment. The club and the Forestry Commission are working together to create some new routes that should offer some challenging XC riding in the future.

(All XC routes are outside the boundaries of the park therefore Free to ride.)
