Hope Pro II Disc Front Hub - The all new Pro2 range of hubs include a further development of our proven ratchet mechanism. This features a one piece 7075 aluminium rotor body and pawl carrier. Four pawls engage into a twenty-four tooth steel ratchet which is fixed into the hub shell and is sealed with a frictionless, non contact labyrinth seal. The axle runs on five cartridge bearings. The hub shell is machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aluminium.

"I have a pair of 10 year old Hope Bulbs on my hardtail. The front hub has never been serviced (the rear has only had the pawls greased once every few years) and yet they still spin as perfectly as they did on day one (and the freewheel is still faultless on the wheel). Hence when building my DH bike I knew that Hope could be relied upon. I wanted this to be a top spec build and money was not a consideration so I was a little surprised that I ended up choosing the Hope Pro II, which is much cheaper than brands such as Burgtec and Chris King. The Hope Pro II was the lightest front hub that I could find that I could be confident would take downhill abuse and I have no regrets over my choice - it is still functioning perfectly two years later. I ended up getting a Burtec rear hub purely because I wanted a faster engagement of the freewheel."
