First Look: Endura Singletrack Helmet

Endura have been busy revising their helmet range to compete in a busy market and have come out punching with the striking, feature packed Singletrack.

Livingston, Scotland, June 18th 2014 - No matter how skilful a rider you are - a crash can happen at any time. Here in bonny Scotland out on the trails nasty roots, tight trees or a vicious rock garden can easily get the better of your technical abilities, and there is always the chance of highland cows blocking your way or running right into you, not to mention the potholes on your way to the nearest trail centre. Rather than letting this spoil your ride, get yourself a comfortable helmet.

That's why Endura have added helmets to their range, and that's why they keep testing and developing them further all the time. They have listened to your feedback, they have done more testing, and they have taken their professional riders' experiences into account. Based on all this input, they have now developed their second generation of MTB helmets: the Singletrack.

The first generation - the Snype Helmet - was already a pretty good start into the world of MTB helmets, all it needed was a bit of tweaking and fine tuning. So the product developers at Endura took its best parts and transferred them into the new helmet, but tweaked the bits that could do with some improving.

So what's new?

The fit has been completely revised; specifically the internal shape has been changed, eliminating any possible pressure points and discomfort zones all around. Also, the adjustment system has been updated with the internal three position vertical adjustment being recessed into the mould to give a secure, snug fit around the rear of the head.

Next, the side adjustment system and straps position have been tweaked so that both do not interfere with your ears and / or sunglasses. The antibacterial padding is even faster wicking now and it's slightly thicker for a luxurious feel. The helmet still comes supplied with a spare set of padding which now incorporates an insect protector net.

And what stays?

The Singletrack Helmet still features ClearThru(tm) air vents which maximise air flow with minimal vent narrowing technology to keep you cool, whilst the internal HeadStream(tm) air flow channels direct air through the front and out the back of the helmet, stripping heat along the way. The easy-to-use, one hand micro-adjustment on the inner head ring (together with the new improved three position vertical adjustment) provides a fine-tuned fit. The compact chin strap with twin strap dividers allows micro-adjustment of the strap position. The extended rear-wrap design of the Singletrack provides extra protection to the lower rear of the head. The helmet comes with a removable visor and is available in three sizes (S/ M, M/L, L/XL).

The weight of the Singletrack Helmet is phenomenally light at 230g in S/M. The helmet also simply looks great, and the four colour choices tie in perfectly with the colour palette and patterns of Endura's MTB clothing and eyewear: Ultramarine blue, Kelly green, orange, and black.
