Pre-View: Schwalbe British 4X Series taking place at 417 Project

29 June 2016  |

This Saturday sees round 4 of the 2016 Schwalbe British 4X Series taking place at 417 Project, in Gloucestershire.

4x

The brand new facility and 4X track at 417 has been the talk of the UK mountain bike industry this year after it opened its gates in Spring. With a purpose built 4X track, indoor pump track, dirt jumps, downhill trails and on site Leisure Lakes shop, this venue has it all. The 4X track, created by Duncan Ferris is a work of art and will provide some amazing racing this Saturday. At around 400 metres long, with 6 turns and flowing jumps, this track is a great example of 4X at its finest.

Schwalbe British 4X Series Round 4

Round 4 of the 2016 Series will be held at 417 after 3 amazing rounds so far in Chicksands, Afan and Redhill. With the racing at the first 3 rounds being so good, expectations are high for the racing at 417 to be of the same high caliber.

Riders aged between 12 and 65 will be battling in their respective categories to see who will take the wins this weekend.

In 2016, there have been 3 separate winners in the Elite Mens racing. Connor Hudson, Scott Beaumont and Duncan Ferris have all took final wins and will all be racing on Saturday. All 3 have a good chance of winning their second race of 2016 but looking to challenge will be Nathan Parsons, Will Evans, Alex Metcalfe and local rider James Whitby. They are capable taking the glory at 417.

In the women's, Natasha Bradley has been the dominant rider winning all 3 rounds so far in 2016. Hannah Escott, Tyde D'Souza and Megan Wherry have all had the speed this year, and will be looking to upset Natasha’s weekend. On this track, anything will be possible and the challenge will definitely come from one of these women.
