Cyclists injured by booby trap in Forest of Dean
5 September 2016 | By billy1979POLICE are warning cyclists to be on the lookout for booby traps on Forest trails after a mountain biker was injured near Staple Edge.
In the past few weeks, large branches have been deliberately placed across the mountain bike trails, which police say could cause serious injury to cyclists.
A police spokesman said: “One person was injured on Monday 22 August, receiving significant cuts and grazes.
“This is dangerous we would urge those members of the public who are carrying out what they may think is a harmless prank to stop their behaviour before somebody is seriously hurt.”
Anyone who sees anti-social behaviour in the area should call police on 101, or 999 if a crime is in progress.
