Ashley Mullane Joins Mondraker UK Gravity Team

South West based gravity racer Ashley Mullane is a rider with a lot of experience under his belt having competed in everything from grass roots events right up to World Cup competition.

The current South West DH Champion has now set his sights on performing well not only in downhill but also in the growing discipline of enduro in 2014 as he joins the Mondraker Bikes UK gravity team for the 2014 season.

Based in Devon, Ashley is no stranger to a race site having started his racing career in the juvenile category back in the 90's. Showing his speed from the start Mullane worked his way up to the elite category through his riding career putting in many podium finishes along the way. A popular face at Chip Shop and Gawton DH tracks Ashley spends most of his time in the woods riding and training when not at work. Growing up racing he knows his way around a bike and down a track but with the season starting soon he is already looking forward to putting his 2014 Forward Geometry Foxy and Summum bikes to the test.

"I'm really happy to be riding for Mondraker this season. I've been riding a 26" Foxy and Summum Pro Team for a number of years but the new 650B wheeled Foxy is on another level for grip and speed" said Mullane. "The Summum Pro Team has proven on the highest level of competition and is one of the fastest bikes on the World Cup circuit over the last few season. I just can't wait to get out riding and racing on both bike this year."

Ashley has already proven his speed having taken the win at the second round of the 2014 Race Face Circus of Dirt Enduro series taking the win by 3 seconds over second place.
